Butterfly House
In 2004, we opened The Butterfly House at Put-in-Bay, a 4000 sq. ft. aviary housing over 500 different types of exotic butterflies from all over the world. Relax with soothing music as butterflies flit all around. Breath in the lovely scents of the butterfly bushes and other beautiful flowers. The kids will enjoy the secret walkways throughout the garden to get up close with the butterflies in their natural environment. Teach the kids about how butterflies are created from our knowledgeable staff. A 15-minute educational presentation is also included at no extra charge. Stay as long as your heart desires.

Gift Shop
Browse through our 5000 sq. ft. gift shop with something "butterfly" for everyone. We have wonderful garden gifts, glass and crystal butterfly figurines, and jewelry. Also included are framed butterfly specimens and nature gifts. Kids will enjoy fun educational gifts and toys. We have unique t-shirts, hats and other great butterfly & Put-in-Bay souvenirs.

- Open May thru September: 7 Days a Week: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Open October: Daily: 1000am-500pm.
For 2012: The Butterfly House will be open full time beginning May 5.
